MSci and MEng?

I am a potential engineering major going to Stanford next year, but as I looked at many other schools' engineering courses, some offered the "Master of Engineering" degree instead of "Master of Science" degree for engineering disciplines.

What is the difference between these two degrees? Is either looked at as more important than the other? How do the employers look at these two different degrees? I know that in UK they offer only MEng for master's programs for engineering. I would appreciate your opinions. Thanks.

Well, at 17, you're first going to be going for a bachelors degree... And then after you get that, you'll go for your masters degree, and you'll have to choose between the MEng and the MS.

We actually had a discussion about this a while back...

Hopefully that'll answer some questions!
