I am a High school senior from Michigan and I am having trouble deciding between these three colleges. I have been accepted to all three and recieved the presidential scholarship (full tuition) to the university of Alabama, $5000 a year to Northern Michigan University, and none so far to MSU (I am competing in the ADS competition but I am doubtful that I will win anything). I would really like to stay in Michigan, however the scholarship to Alabama is tempting. I really like both MSU and NMU but I will go much further in debt for MSU. Any tip or suggestions for me? Is MSU worth the debt? Also I plan on majoring in Ecology/Environmental Science and plan to go to grad school. Thanks!
@pchambs My son is down to MSU, Iowa State, and Alabama for mechanical engineering. You might want to read this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-alabama/1838290-michigan-state-v-ua.html#latest
I am surprised that you have not received any money from MSU. If you are qualified for the Presidential Scholarship at Alabama, you should be offered merit scholarships from MSU Honors.
