Hey guys! I was accepted Nov. 8th and have been doing research on the dorms. I was wondering if any current MSU students or anyone with better knowledge about the dorms would have any recommendations for the ‘best’ one. I do like a little space, but obviously as a freshman I don’t really get the luxury of that!
Thanks
djbaydawg: I went to MSU, and now I have two children at MSU. The older dorms have larger rooms, but they tend to be loud because that is where the members of the marching band tend to live. These dorms have community bathrooms. I would focus on your major. If Lyman Briggs - then Holmes (suite style bathrooms and great cafeteria). If Engineering, then I would recommend Wilson (CORE - free tutoring in the dorm - so so cafeteria). Wilson has suite style bathrooms. If Business - Shaw, which is right next door to Broad (community style bathrooms). My older son is in Brody, which has the best food, and community style bathrooms. The only problem is that this dorm has one very slow elevator per dorm, whereas Wilson has two per side. Case houses the Honors College and lot of the athletes, so the food is better. Freshman year, my son lived in Wilson, and usually ate at Case. Good luck!
@BankOfMom wow, thanks a lot! Yea there were a lot of choices and right now my preferred major is Business and PolSci. Thanks again and have a great holiday season!
