Hey everyone. I'm curious on my chances of getting into an MSW program. Right now I'm debating between getting a communications degree v.s. a psychology degree. I'm leaning towards communications simply because it has more opportunities as an undergraduate degree I believe. I'm worried though since I'm not a psych major I may not get in. My GPA is about 3.4 and I'm about to be a junior. For the past 3 years I worked as a teacher's aid in a special ed school. I'm also going on an internship in India to help underprivileged kids for the winter. I may be thinking of becoming a communications major, but helping kids/teens is something I truly love. I'm scared to get a psych degree though due to lack of jobs but at the same time I feel worried of not getting accepted into an MSW due to a lack of social work/psych degree. What are your thoughts?

I wish I knew. Isn’t there a social work student trade publication or website connected with a SW students’ association? I bet you that has some articles addressing this question.
