I urge newcomers not to get too worried when they see that some of these lists are very long. You may wonder how kids can get all those classes in to one semester. While MT majors are undoubtedly very scheduled out, especially Freshman and Sophomore years (my daughter is finding Junior year much lighter in major requirements), some of these classes meet just once/week. These lists are by no means schedules. Although I am an experienced MT parent now, I too wonder how MT students can possibly take so many dance classes in one semester. Maybe they rotate? Maybe each class is only an hour/week? Also, don’t misunderstand that just because one school lists a class that another school does not seem to offer, that you actually will not be studying that. Schools label their classes differently. For example, I think Utah (where my daughter attends), still calls their daily Ballet class “MT Core.” FYI, it meets every day @ 8am for 8 required semesters and is leveled. They also have MT Dance, which I believe is required for 4 semesters but is usually taken more than that. MT Dance sounds vague, but they tackle Jazz, Tap, Modern, etc and focus on the various choreography styles. So, while these lists give you a taste of these programs, you really should not make decisions without looking further into details. Also remember that Gen Ed classes have homework, but many MT classes (not all) have little homework, besides working directly on your craft.
Mine is basically the same as @myloves’s daughter but I’ll include frequency and length:
