Hello! I'll be a HS senior this year and I was really hoping to have my list of schools to apply to chosen by the end of this summer.

The vast majority of the schools on my list will be MT, but I'm also interested in theatre history/criticism (particularly musical theatre history). I love the program at Northwestern - they focus on that quite a bit and also have MT opportunities. I'm thinking about applying there, but there are also a few other schools that seem to have a similar deal going on - except that I don't know about their MT opportunities. I might just scrap this list and go solely for majoring in MT, but I'd like to have options once the results come in. If I do apply to any of these schools I would only apply to one or two (Northwestern may be included in there.)

3.9 UW GPA (one damned A-), SATs probably around 2000

Augsburg - Theatre History and Criticism Dramaturgy minor. Theatre arts major w/ concentration in Performance

Bowdoin - English/Theatre major

Eugene Lang - "Theater is designed for the performer and non-performer alike and explores the history, literature, and theory of drama. In addition, through practice-based courses, students have opportunities to experiment with acting, directing, production dramaturgy, critical writing, and some of the technical fields of theater production. Playwriting is offered in conjunction with Literary Studies."

George Washington U - Columbian College of Arts and Sciences offers an interdisciplinary program in dramatic literature leading to the degree of Bachelor of Arts. This major, which combines the strengths of the Departments of English and of Theatre and Dance, is designed to give equal consideration to the two key aspects of theatre—the literary text and the production.

SUNY - Cortland

SUNY - Geneseo - English/Theatre major

If you know anything about these colleges/universities and if MT would at all be an opportunity to learn, do, whatever, that would be fantastic.

And I really hope my question isn't completely incoherent. I tried not to ramble as much as I actually did.
