Mudder on Jeopardy tonight

Andrew, a HMC sophomore, is in the College Jeopardy tournament. His episode airs tonight so watch it if you can and cheer him on. Please don't post any comments about the results of tonight's episode until after 8 PM Pacific Time.

Sorry this is late notice. I just thought of posting it here.

next round is on Tuesday

What time?

I saw this one.
He gives off a sharp tinge of competitiveness, and I didn't exactly appreciate his mocking falsetto lisp. Stuyvesant, anyone?

I also loved how right before Trebek was going to reveal what answer Minnesota State put down and how much he risked, the guy pat the Harvey Mudder on the back and said "gg." Oh, snap, pwn'd.

Nothing at all against HMC, just this guy.

7:00 PM PST

And Andrew was awesome in my opinion - perhaps next time they'll actually do some science questions.

I can sort of see how one would take it this way. But I know him, he's a nice guy, and I don't think he meant to give off that impression. He's a laid back joker guy, and he was just having fun. Also he must have been nervous so that might have made him act in ways that he usually would not have.

I'd also note that if you looked past the credits and ads to the very end (when they were playing the theme song), Andrew was being friendly and a good sport. He was hugging and comforting the girl from Yale who lost it all.

It depends on where you live. Find out the time on your local station here:
This is JEOPARDY!

Anyway, the questions asked on that show weren't really Andrew's forte. The guy from Mississippi State dominated all of the sports/South questions (college sports, country music star, nascar, etc). I hope Andrew does better in the next round because he'll have to in order to make the finals.

Come to think of it, Mudders in general will probably not do too well on Jeopardy. We really don't follow a lot of these typically college facts...

We're too busy finding the missing mass of the universe and creating self-sustaining fusion reactors. I mean, in between the time of doing these things and curing AIDS where can we find time for the tube? :D

That doesnt stop us from being in the finals. WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

Finals are Thursday and Friday btw.

Okay, Andrew did win today. So we're going to the finals...

When will he play? Thursday or Friday?
Go Andrew!!!!

It's a two day final match so he will play both days, and the two day cumulative high score wins the tournament!

Whoa, Andrew was my host when I stayed the night at Harvey Mudd a few months ago!

Go Andrew!!!
