My D and I attended the program today and were blown away! Beautiful day, beautiful campus, and the faculty we met we incredible, the event totally reassured my D decision. The program was first rate in my opinion. If any one else attended, I would love to hear your thoughts.

Glad you enjoyed it! My D was working the event so you may have crossed paths. You guys got great weather. The campus looks beautiful in the spring when the trees are in bloom.

@grasshoppa- I attended with my S and husband. We were also blown away! Top notch admitted students day! i only wish it was a little longer. We did the campus tour and never got a chance to go into the room with all the campus activities. This was our first visit and came away feeling very positive about the school and could see our S going there. The head of the Neuroscience program was very impressive. The students we met were equally impressive -very friendly and welcoming.

My only negative about the school is the slow response from the Admissions Director for our area. My son contacted her about attending a class and he had other questions and after several days ( two days prior to our visit on Friday), I called the admissions office to ask about our son attending a class. They were very responsive and accommodating. Later that same day, the Admission Director sent my son an email stating she was glad he was able to attend a class but never apologized for not responding and she did not answer his questions. He had to send another email for her to respond. In her second email, she said she had hoped to see him at the event. Granted she was busy but she could have at least made an effort when we checked in to reach out to us- poor customer service. S is not effected by her slow response and lack of apology but I am because it reflects poorly on the school. However, it will not effect his decision - overall the school is great and he will have very little to do with her, if he decides to attend.

We are off to see UVM ( revisit) honors program on Monday. I will say, UVM admissions office has been very responsive and accommodating. S is attending a honors seminar on Monday and the honors reception. There are many perks that come with the honors college. I think it will be a tough decision. Plus on Tuesday we are visiting Clarkson U, a last minute add but they also invited him into the honors program. Three very different types of schools…I am fine with any one he chooses.

My first choice was UVM ( love Burlington) but after spending the day a Muhlenberg, I could totally picture my son there…I didn’t know making a final choice was going to be so hard.
