Muhlenberg College Class of 2021 RD Thread

I’m wondering that, too. I really thought DD would get something from Muhlenberg in today’s mail, but nothing. We live in suburban DC, which did get snow, but a local friend received her acceptance yesterday. The wait is getting to my daughter (okay, and me), because Muhlenberg is one of three schools she’s expecting to hear from any day.

Only one who received his acceptance by portal/email? And when did you guys receive yours? I got mine on March 1st.

Still nothing in today’s mail. Wonder what is up. Congrats to all who have received packages, though.

BTW, I called Muhlenberg admissions this afternoon and was told that the school notifies applicants only by snail mail, not by email or via the admissions portal. I was also told that the school sends letters out in bunches up to April 1 and that I shouldn’t read anything into the fact that my daughter (whose name I did not reveal) hasn’t heard yet. So we shall see.

@starlr I received an email saying “A decision has been posted on your portal”. A couple of days later I received the package at home (they put hand-written messages it’s so sweet).

I received my decision today in the mail! I am from CA. Merit and financial aid will be sent later in March according to the letter!

Ah, I was wondering about no mention of merit.

We are in the same boat. No mention of either merit or need-based aid. Do you know when we should expect the package? Their IDOC process was very involved, hope it was worth it!

My daughter’s letter, dated March 10th, also said “financial aid and Merit Award letters typicaly mail later in March.” Nothing additional since then, although today’s mail hasn’t been delivered yet.

Scholarship announcements come by e-mail. My son received his today.

Financial aid is up on portal. Even though S got 20,000 presidential scholarship and some need based school is still 6000 more expensive than Franklin and Marshall. Muhlenberg is probably out. Good luck to everyone.

Hey, I received merit scholarship via email today but still haven’t received a package. Has this happened to anyone else?

Twin sons both admitted regular decision and received packet in mail last week. Received financial aid emails today and both received top Presidential award plus both got Dana Scholarship Honors program.

Does anyone know if there’s a rhyme or reason to the “waves” of sending decision letters? Who gets their letters first and last? I live in eastern/central PA about 45 minutes away from Muhlenberg and was deferred ED and they said I’ll hear Anytime from the 15th till early April.

Letter came in the US Mail, but nothing is mentioned on the portal… is that normal? Any idea? And has anyone received a merit award in the mail? Did it come in a separate mailing?

I received my acceptance on the 12th and got almost $20,000 in financial aid yesterday. Someone else I know also has not gotten any letter, though, so they must be coming in waves. My portal has also not changed, so they probably do not update the portal at all. Goodluck!

D in NJ got her acceptance letter on March 13 by snail mail. She got an email on March 20 with a link and login instructions to a new financial aid portal.

My daughter got her acceptance letter on 15 March by snail mail (slightly delayed, but we live in Alaska, so it’s pretty much expected). She, like @newjerseydad888’s daughter, got an email 20 March saying that her financial aid had been posted on the portal, and (after some struggles with getting the portal to recognize that she was a real person) was able to access the information there. Nothing received regarding financial aid in snail mail or her Dana Scholars application in any format, but presumably that will be coming shortly.

Update. Got snail mail with merit award letter today.

Update: Snail mail merit and Dana Scholars letters (postmarked 21 March) both arrived today.
