multiple AP classes

Hey, I'm going into my junior year this year, and was wondering in general how people are doing/have done when taking 3 or more AP classes at once. I'm doing Biology, AB Calculus, and US History. I'm kind of worried, because I have football until mid November.

I took 4 APs my junior year, and it wasn't that bad. The amount of work in each class depends on your teachers, so I can't say anything on that. You should not worry about the AP exams since they are way pass football season. AP classes might seem a lot in the beginning, but you will get use to it. Don't worry.

Go UT!! :)

Hm, about 90% of us have taken 3 or more AP classes junior year, so the advice you'll get is going to be really biased toward the "easy" side.

Just learn to manage your time effectively. Otherwise, you'll end up working at 2 in the morning, when you could've finished it earlier.

I agree but honestly... It gets hard...

I'm a senior and I'm going to be taking 4 APs this year. Last year I took 3 and I play Volleyball, Basketball and Softball. Doing sports and AP can get hard but it does depend on your teachers.

There are going to be nights when you have to stay up and days when you can just cruise. It all depends. But I can tell you from the APs I took last year (Lang, Bio and World History) History is probably going to be the hardest because you usually have to read alot.

Chill but just make sure you have good time management and you'll be fine.

That's what I'm worried about haha, but the funny thing is is that the only one of those 3 I'm taking that I've heard anyone saying is hard is Biology.

Honestly, I didn't find it that hard to manage 3 APs last year (and this is coming from a ridiculous procrastinator). However, homework CAN get very time consuming, especially in classes that have to cover a lot of work (e.g. Bio) so just make sure you stay on top of the work and you should be fine.

You should do fine. I took 5 APs and was in like 10 clubs(some which made me miss a few weeks of school to go on field trips) senior year, getting straight B's and 4 hours of sleep a day. You have 3 APs and football(which will keep you in school about as long as some of the clubs I had)... should get A's if you're good with time management. I also played football my first 3 years with only 3 clubs but wanted to try everything else out so I quit my last year.

I took 4 APs (Biology, Chemistry, Spanish Language, Calculus BC) last year, and it really wasn't difficult. But then, it depends on how the courses are at your school. At mine, US History is considered the hardest Junior AP class, as it requires about 3 hours of homework a night. Biology would be the second most difficult, with 2 hours a night and difficult tests. The others weren't anywhere close.

Since AP Biology is considered most difficult at your school, it really depends on how the other two are. If they don't require too much work, you shouldn't worry too much.

I did alright with 3 AP Classes- one of which was APUSH, the other two were Comp Sci. AB and AP English. For AP English i barely had any work and it was a bunch of reading/typing up random essays so it was pretty much a blow off to me. APUSH now was a killer- i usually studied around 6 hours for this class to get a high A. Comp Sci. AB was a blow off mostly but the test/labs were hard and mostly done in class due to the fact some kids (We only had 4 students in our class LOL) didn't have JCreator LE to program in.
So yeah mutiple AP Classes is possible just learn time management skills , but i dont have experience with sports + mutiple AP Classes. from what i hear it gets difficult for example the val of my class had to drop out of APUSH cause he couldnt handle basketball and the rigor of AP History.

You should be okay. I had 4 AP last year as a sophomore and survived swim among other EC's. Just do stuff on the weekend and ahead of time if possible.

I intend on swimming this year with 6 AP. Good luck to us both.
