<p>Daughter has a live music audition at Stanford on Saturday. Does anyone who previously participated in one of these auditions have any advice or recommendations?</p>
<p>I didn’t live audition (sent in a tape for REA instead and fortunately it was good enough) but I’ve had two friends who live auditioned and both got accepted. </p>
<p>She’s probably done live auditions before, so the best advice I could give is treat it like one of those auditions. Good breakfast, comfortable (but nice) clothes that don’t restrict her ability to play, don’t “cram practice” day off. And of course, try to not be so concerned with the audition and more concerned with making beautiful music and enjoying playing. </p>
