MUSIC MAJORS: Does admissions at a voice program discount your recording over a technical issue?

If the overall feeling of the piece comes across, even with the one slightly distorted note due to a technical microphone issue, can I still submit the recording? HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!

@voicemajor Hi there! I see on another thread that you are applying to some very selective schools, as a soprano in VP, one of the most competitive majors, so, you want to show yourself in the best possible light on your prescreens. That said, if it’s pretty obviously an issue with the recording and not the singing, and your voice teacher agrees, you can go with what you have. Good luck.

Not sure if this comes in time, but if there are glitches, its better for them to be in the later part. AFAIK, they don’t listen to the whole piece during prescreens, and may never see it if it is to the tail end. That being said, I’m guessing that if quality shows through in the rest of the piece, you would be OK. Good Luck !
