It might be. Berklee EA has a deadline on November 1st for FAFSA & CSS Profile. Did you follow up after submitting those? As I heard, Berklee scholarship and financial aids offices are one same department (doesn’t sound like though). Contact them by calling and emailing. It is a huge school so be prepared not to hear back soon. You still have whole this month.

Hi all, are most of these merit awards need aware or need blind do we think?
It may depend upon the school. And the schools we applied to, merit is need blind, and financial awards are need based.
The awards listed here are strictly MUSIC scholarships, awards and grants totals, so not need anything… at least that’s what we were advised to list. Strictly MUSIC… so based on talent…results of audition? At least that’s how I listed ours. So not the entire package, which does include the need based grants and such.
Hi all! These are music (talent) awards, but that said, it’s sometimes hard to parse them out. The best description I’ve seen is on the Eastman site: many schools, like Eastman, describe their awards as “talent based but need aware.” https://www.esm.rochester.edu/financialaid/cost-of-attendance-undergraduate/
However, as @BenniesMom1 correctly points out, these awards do not include loans, work study, or purely academic financial aid. They are specifically based on auditions.

For the SMU/Meadow, my daughter’s $42000 is combine of grant and scholarship. The Artistic Merit alone is $16000.

The ones listed above are supposed to be as advised at the top of the list. BUT, if you’re asking about YOURS specifically, I would definitely check with the FA office of the school. Two of the scholarships my son received (not listed above because they weren’t renewable), were Music foundation Merit Awards for the first year only, with a “likely” to be given again the next year and so forth. We found that out because we asked for clarification. That being said, the ones at Duquesne were renewable every year …8 semesters and that was written out. We now surmise that if we don’t see anything written, it very likely that it’s only for the first year. So, just check.

A few interesting trends: NEC and MSM are running true to form, with relatively small scholarships–especially given their $70k-plus ticket price–for even very talented undergrads. NYU, on the other hand, busted out with a couple of large awards (note that others got $0)! Berklee also has a huge range, from $0 to $46,000. And Syracuse might be the biggest so far, with a $0-52,000 range. Also true to form, Oberlin and Eastman offered relatively large awards to the few people they admit.
