Music Performance Minor

Will being a music performance minor help me be admitted? I play a less-common instrument, the French Horn, and plan on applying to UMich, WashU (STL), and Northeastern. I know Northeastern has non-major performance scholarships.
“My Stats”
94.8755 weighted GPA (just ended sophomore year, hope to get it up to 97), taking all honors possible except chemistry this year, member of prestigious youth symphony that has an upcoming Europe Tour, and received a 2 at state last year and a 1 this year on a solo (1 is the best you can get, I know other states rank different). I am a good solo performer and perform well in auditions, will this help me get in?

Playing a needed orchestra instrument can indeed be a hook; you could contact schools’ music departments.
