Music- Piano College Audition Pieces

I've revised my list:

Bach Preude and Fugue No.6 in D Minor from WTC Book 2
Beethoven Waldstein Sonata Op.53
Brahms Rhapsody in G Minor Op.79 No.2
*****either Bartok Suite Op.14 OR Ginastera Danzas Argentinas
Ravel Sonatine
Chopin Revolutionary Etude Op.10 No.12

Opinions on these pieces are welcome.

Seems pretty good! Are you applying for the undegrad school?
It seems like a large program.
As I aware of the auditions, most schools want only 4 pieces.
Where are you going for the auditions?

Yes, it will be for an undergraduate audition. I’m a junior in high school this fall, so I’m just getting ideas for pieces. I’m looking at Saint Olaf College, University of Saint Thomas, Lawrence, Northwestern University, Northwestern College, Concordia College, Oberlin, DePauw, Baldwin-Wallace, Butler, Illinois Wesleyan, UW Whitewater, UW Superior, UW Eau Claire, University of Minnesota Duluth, and University of Nebraska Lincoln (midwest schools only). I won’t apply to all of those…I still have to narrow that list down. The reason why I need more than 4 pieces is because of the requirements of each school for which type of pieces they need.

I think you’ll be fine…now if you’re applying to Curtis or Juilliard, you might wanna check up on their audition requirements.

Only a couple of those schools are really difficult admits, and your repertoire looks really good, even for those. :)

Is it bad to play some pieces for an audition if some people think they’re overplayed? Do colleges really not want to hear those at all?
