Okay, so I know a lot of schools give money for people to join choirs and stuff to sing, esp guys. Two questions:

Does NYU have a similar program like this, where they pay people to sing in their choirs (or just rely on their Tisch kids)?

I'm in LSP, but I also want to see if I can join a choir or something at NYU while I'm there... is this possible (NOT a club choir; just an actual NYU choir/glee club)?

No.

Also, singing is in STEINHARDT, not Tisch. Music and music performance/musical theatre is in Steinhardt. I know, it’s weird.

There are actually a lot of musical groups here. [NYU Choruses - Auditions - NYU Steinhardt](http://steinhardt.nyu.edu/music/auditions/choruses/)

Many of them you have to audition for. There are even casual acapella groups, aka Mass Transit or Cleftomaniacs. But those are club choirs, so you might not be interested.

Thanks so much!

Do you have to be in Steinhardt to audition for these?

For some of them, priority might be given to Steinhardt music majors, but you can e-mail and ask, when it’s closer to August.
