Music resume help!

hi guys, need some help here!

im currently applying to college and writing my music resume.

should i only include experiences/awards from 2006 onwards, so should i go as far back as i can?

also, do i need to include repertoire and so on?

please help! urgent deadline approaching!

thanks!

In writing your resume you want to include your experiences in high school. The exception to this is that you want to list all the years you studied privately, and any MAJOR awards that you won earlier.

As far as repertoire, you don’t want to list everything, but you will want to include major pieces that you have studied. Another way to deal with the repertoire issue is to list pieces that you performed either in recitals, as concert solos, or as competition pieces. There is information on music resumes on the music majors forum as well.
