Has anyone received a music scholarship yet? The NEU music department website says decisions will be announced no later than April 8th. I’m still hoping!!

@2KOsmom No we have not heard anything on the music scholarship. My son emailed the music department early last week to ask about the timing of results notification and did not receive a reply. Did your DS audition?
@LkL5789 we are waiting for the architecture program to respond. to a similar scholarship. D emailed contact and they did not respond either. Frustrated because financial aid says we are only guaranteed to get package by decision date. Did you get any other package besides whatever came with your son’s admission? Keep you posted if we get anything.
@2KOsmom Yes my son received a financial offer with admission. The music scholarship was a separate process but it will factor into if my son will go to NEU versus other schools. May 1st is getting close…
@LkL5789 I called Financial Aid again today and they reiterated we would have package by decision day but might not know about departmental scholarships. I left a VM for the department - not really sure why they can’t get us packages but it is looking more and more like my D will accept elsewhere.
@2KOsmom we did not hear yet about departmental either. My husband is going to call today.
@LkL5789 got a call back from the Arch department - student who got their scholarship was the only one they notified. Hope your department is better. More frustrated than ever that we don’t know what they are giving us for an EFC or grant. Department seemed to think there was a glitch somewhere in the FAFSA piece on their end.
