Music School Choice (Composition BM)

Hi Im an international student who got acceptance from sfcm (w/18000$ scholarship per a year), Hartt school (w/20000$), CCPA(Roosevelt university)(w/14000$), Longy school of music (w/14000$). would you guys give me some advice for choosing the school?
especially I wondered what are the differences between music schools and universities.
I would like to be a film composer. so after finish bachelor’s degree, I will apply film scoring major in master degree.
If you guys know about the schools, just let me know !
I appologize for awful english haha…
Thank you so much

Sounds like the SFCM TAC program would be a good fit for you. You could start learning about scoring as an undergrad. You could probably transfer into it from the composition dept. or at least take some classes.

Please come over to the Music Major Forum for more focused replies than you’ll get in this general forum.

Can you afford all these schools, taking into account the living costs? Have you explored the faculty, curriculum, courses, and opportunities for performances? How did you choose these particular schools of music to which to apply? These are all conservatories, as far as I know. I’m not sure what your question is about universities except that Hartt is connected to the University of Hartford and so there would be a wider choice of electives, and students on campus who are not studying the arts. For the most part these schools will all offer you a similar undergrad composition experience (except for SFCM’s TAC) so you may want to choose based on factors such as the location, size, ease of access- after taking into account the professors and curriculum. I’m guessing the costs are similar before considering living expenses and travel.
