Music Supplement CD length

Hi,

I am sending a music supplement CD to all of the colleges I'm applying to that accept it (I am not, however, planning to major in music). I currently have five and a half minutes of fairly good quality oboe playing on the CDs (two pieces, three movements total), however, many schools as for around 10 minutes.

I have some more recorded material, but I consider it subpar and would like to avoid sending it if possible. I understand that the music supplement is "extra", and obviously ten minutes of stellar playing is better than five. But which is preferable: five minutes of really good playing or five minutes of good playing and five minutes of "okay" playing

Thanks!
