Feel free to ask any questions about this - sounds like you’re investigating a similar path to the one my son took. He wanted to do a double major/focus and Yale was definitely a school that stood out in this regard. But, he also applied to others where he would have been able to do both music and engineering. In the end, he decided to cancel the auditions he was offered as it’s pretty tough to beat Yale. 
But if you’re interested in double major, I’ve got info on schools/FA, etc
