<p>I have a few questions regarding sending in a music supplement. The two songs I play best are both folk-like songs on acoustic guitar. But the admissions website says the 2 pieces must be contrasting. Is this an actual rule or just their preference? Is it fine if I send those 2 pieces (they're about 2 minutes in length each) and then another contrasting piece?</p>

I can play this heavy metal song but I don't think sending that is a good idea. ;)</p>
<p>I would send what you feel comfortable sending. If you don't feel comfortable finding that blues song or if it isn't you, don't send it. They'd rather hear two similar pieces played well than two different ones played less well. And I would send all three if I were you, especially since they're short.</p>
