I really want to apply for strong, prestigious 8 year program guaranteed medical program (known as BA/MD) as well as a couple ivy leagues and liberal arts including: Harvard, Amherst, Williams, Swarthmore, Cornell, Northwestern, Wellesley, and UPenn.

I have a strong interest in science and math, and I am ranked 2 out of a class of 800 in my school.

However, as random as if may sound to you, I am also very into music. (I just recently got a partnership with the L.A. Philharmonic).

I am interested in doing a music supplement for my college apps this coming fall. Will music supplements help me even though I'm applying to BA/MD medical programs?

(I'm a junior, by the way :) )

Take a read through this http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parents-forum/738525-how-strong-music-ec.html?highlight=music and my posts within that direct you to various music supplement threads and questions.

Whether it will help or not is a factor of a particular institution’s policies regarding the effects of supps on admissions, your level of talent (in conjunction with the other academic and stats based factors comprising admissions decisions) within the applicant pool, and in some cases it can also be instrument contingent based on a program’s needs.

Without knowing the specific selection parameters used in the process awarding you a partnership with the LA Phil, it would seemingly indicate a conservatory level talent and potential, which should place your supp somewhere in the upper ranges of those who might submit.

It will not hurt you, and may or may not help. It could prove a bit more of a factor at Amherst, Williams, Swarthmore, Wellesley; you may be one of many at Harvard, but less so at Cornell, instrument contingent. Northwestern has a noted conservatory, and I don’t know the level of the bar there in assessing supps for non-music major decisions. I can’t comment on the potential effect at UPenn.

Pay attention to submission requirements, stated or recommended repertoire. Do not send to schools that specifically advise against supps, regardless of your talent.

Hope that helps.
