A few schools (Cornell, CMU, etc) say they require applicants submit all scores for the SAT Subject tests, but I am not sure if that means all scores for all tests taken, or just all scores for the two you are submitting for consideration. If I’ve taken three but only two are high enough for me to want schools to see them… can I just submit those two (which satisfies the requirement) or must I submit all three? The websites don’t seem to address this specifically.
You should ask the college admissions office to be sure, but it sounds to me like this:
for example if they want two subject tests, one science & one math, and you took 3 subject tests (Chem, Physics, Math 1) twice, and you decide to submit your Chem & Math scores, you should submit all Chem & Math scores and not submit Physics at all (because irrelevant to application).
Unless you did really well on all your Subject tests then you might as well submit them all.
You need to check the web sites of the schools and see what is REQUIRED.

Note the words ALL SCORES.
I think a call to the school re: specifically SAT subject test 2. I believe I have heard that in Cornell’s case, the all scores are for the SAT (regular test) and NOT subject tests.
For the current list of colleges that have an all scores rule and what the rule means, see my last two posts in this thread http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/sat-act-tests-test-preparation/1912440-must-you-submit-all-sat-act-or-sat-subject-test-scores-p5.html
And when a college refers to all scores, it means all tests not just all section scores from a single test. It is, in fact, impossible to have SAT or ACT send only some section scores from a single test because they will send only the entire test and all its section scores, so it would be pointlessly redundant for a college to create a rule that says you must submit all section scores of a single test because that is the only way you can send a test’s scores.
Yes–but that specifically refers only to the SAT or ACT, nothing about the Subject Tests.

@drusba, thanks those posts are on target for my question, very helpful!
AFAIK, Georgetown and Cornell are the only 2 US colleges that require all Subject Test scores. Georgetown’s message is clear:
In their case, all means all.
Cornell seems to be more ambiguous; this is a clear case where the applicant should contact Cornell to confirm their requirements and not leave it to other peoples’ interpretations.
All other US colleges (again applicant should confirm) that require all ACT or SAT 1 scores allow the app, icant to pick and choose which Subject Test scores to send.
