So I'm a Canadian high school student that recently decided to take the SAT. I didn't have a particular reason to take it, as I'm happy with going to a Canadian university. However, I'm really into rapid learning and generally productivity-boosting, so I thought it would be neat challenge to try to ace the most apprehended test of all...in three weeks.

I had very little exposure to the SAT until I started preparing around September the 10th, and I took the test on October 1st. Although I'm still eagerly awaiting my score along with everyone else here, I've got a good feeling about it. I've decided to write a blog-post series on my website, WillKwan.com, detailing the methods I used to get the most out of my three weeks of studying. This was initially meant to be a personal self-learning project, but I thought it would be cool to share my efforts and hopefully help some people out.

I'm sure there are many very experienced test-takers here, and I'd like your feedback on my project. If you've done the SAT as well, how much preparation did you put in, and how much studying do you think is typical for someone who wants to ace it? Also, if you've got any questions about what I did to prepare, I'd be glad to answer.

I think it’s imperative that you define your terms. What exactly do you mean by “ace the SAT”? Do you mean score 2400? Do you mean score in at or above a certain percentile, e.g. 90th?

Your blog, as it reads right now, is very ambiguous.

The goal was to get a perfect score in three weeks of prep. After making the attempt, I thought it would make a few good blog posts, so doesn’t it make sense to post it on a forum on SAT prep?

I think you’re missing the point. I write a blog post that I think is useful, then I show it to people who would be interested. I’m not trying to sell anything, nor am I being irrelevant or intrusive.

For one, it’s (as stated before) ambiguous. And directing to your blog is well… cool in some way. But this site is dedicated to this site only and all information is to be shared through this site. Viewers don’t want to see a post, click on it, read a bunch of blogs, etc.

sorry. Get your point across. Directly and thoroughly.

Unfortunately not. Struggled with a few of the sentence completions and I think that brought my score down a lot. CR 700, Math 770, Writing 800.

Just reorganized the thread to make things clearer.
