I just finished my first term for sophomore year and my average is a 87. Freshmen year it was roughly the same, but this year I’m doing terrible in Trigonometry & Spanish which I have a 65 and 75 in respectively I’ve been depressed for the better part of a year and I went into sophomore year thinking it would get better. I felt comfortable for once at home and things have began to get better
This fiasco has been getting to me hard and I don’t know what I can do with a 65 on my transcript.
With that in my mind is it possible to fix my average to a low 90 and get accepted into maybe Stony I’m taking 1 ap class right now and have 3 selected for next year
I’m in one of the select specialized high schools that are in nyc if that helps
My son got into all of these with an unweighted 91 GPA from a good suburban public high school, but he never had a grade less than 80. I think one low grade in a certain subject could be explained. Also, keep in mind that SUNY looks at the combination of your GPA and SAT/ACT score, so if you do really well on those exams, you have a very fair shot, although, I do have to mention that Binghamton is very selective for its business, engineering and nursing schools, less so for the arts and sciences and the CPPA divisions.
