<p>So Duke is my number one school without a doubt. I'm applying ED and I have a meeting with Satan next week about trading my soul for acceptance. What are my chances, and what can I do to improve them (test scores aside). And how is my ACT for Duke? I read that I'm in the middle 50% (29-34)</p>

<p>GPA UW 3.9 W 4.4</p>
<p>ACT 30 w/ 9 essay (retaking, can probably raise it to a 32)</p>
<p>Superscored SAT 760 CR 600M 600W (probably taking again because I completely screwed my prompt up when I last retook it and I know I can get writing to the 700s) I might not send my SAT score if my ACT score it's up looking that much more impressive.</p>
<p>SAT 2: US History 720, Literature 690</p>
<p>Intended major: Psychology</p>
<p>Recs: I have an amazing rec from my Psychology teacher who actually is a counseling psychologist.
The other teacher rec will probably be from AP Lang teacher who is brilliant and loved me
I should have a good rec from my counselor, even though she's an not too spectacular, because every time I see her it's about making my schedule harder
And I will be supplying an optional rec as well as doing an interview</p>
<p>Senior Schedule (during school): AP Literature, AP Chem, AP Bio, AP US Gov, AP Macroecon, AP Spanish, Leadership/Student government class
Taking online or self studying: AP Microecon, Spanish 3 Honors, AP Psych</p>
<p>AP's taken: AP Language and AP US History. Scores haven't come out yet but i feel confident I got 5's or at least 4's.</p>

Currently planning a charity stand up comedy benefit for a friend of the family who had a bad stroke and now his family is plunging into debt

Umm, not exactly a hook, but I want to do research at Duke and plan to make that a point in my essay.</p>
