Do I have a shot at all of these schools?
Is there anything I can still do to improve my chances?

-english is 2nd language
-first semester of sophomore year is bad… but i have an excuse that i was diagnosed with ADD during that period and recieved treatment.

Duke- major stretch you look like an underachievere

all others, great fits!

I'd try the "What are my Chances" board.

wat are my chances at unc-chapel hill?
its also high rate school

maybe, i dont know the quota for in state kids, but WAY better than duke

its much easier for in-state obviously..
but do u think i will probably get in.. or not???

im going for math major.. and i had many academic achievements in the subject...

Your chances at Duke might have been ruined by your first semester grades in 10th grade...I know thats rough, but 4 C's 2 F's and B almost rule you out...especially considering Duke's applicant pool this year.....So, unless your reason it more than ADD (not to diminish ADD, but a LOT of kids have it, and a lot of kids get good grades with it...), than it will be tough.....That being said, your schedule has been very challenging and your ECs are good..

I wont say "NO" to Duke...but you will need a major hook.

id rather go to UNC-Chapel Hill than Duke..
do you think i have a really good chance of getting in there?

If it's a local school, you'd be better off asking local people (ex, friends, teachers, couselors, etc) than asking us. Their judgment would be far more sound than ours would.

yes.. but...
its as local as Duke and not many ppl from my school go there...
most ppl go to UNCG from my school..

thats why im asking ur opinion

its 2 hrs. away from here..

so can u plz comment on my chanceS?

plz tell me if u heard anything

need help..

wat are my chances at unc?

does anyone know wat my probable chances at unc are??

im telling you figure out your states quota, example:

here in washington at University of washington the automatic index is above 72 (3.7 and 1300) so find out if your state has something like that

UNC-CH and Duke both give preference to in-state students...so that helps your chances at both. Personally, I think you have a better shot at UNC-CH...

UNC and Duke are both 99s

gosh quit arguing, dont look at the ratings for public schools, they always differe for instate students. and so what if they are 99'sm are you not going to apply there cuz a college review website says its hard to get into? i hope not

yea.. im still applying

Duke likely no. UNC likely yes. The rest yes. And Alebed PRs new admissions selectivity rankings are idiotic. Look at last years. Now every school is 90 or above practically.
