My chances at Exeter, Choate, SPS, Lawrenceville?

Hi everyone I am a student from Hong Kong and have just finished my application to Exeter, Choate, SPS, Andover and Lawrenceville. I've won prizes in a few competitions such as Public Speaking, Debate, Tennis etc. My SSAT score is 1941. Verbal 626, Math 665, Reading 650.

hey, you probably have a decent shot, i don't know how those SSATs stack up (i remember getting percentiles). like college, what really matters in these admissions is your essay and any personal unique things you can bring to the table. (public speaking and tennis are good ones).

that said, i hope you choose lawrenceville. our foreign kids get along very nicely here.

All of the schools you mentioned are great places. Like madeinusa817, I'm not sure what your SSAT scores look like because I've only seen percentile results. The schools will be interested by your extracurricular activities; they look for well-rounded students who can both get good grades and be involved in the community. The information you listed sounds good, but there are just too many factors in the admission process for me to be able to predict which schools you will get in to. Good luck in your admissions process!

what are your:
grades
percentile
scores from other tests(if applicable)
is your tennis game good enough to factor in to the admissions decision?

Grades : Not bad
Precentile: Average
Extra Curricular: Good
Sports: Good

an average percentile is 50%.

To have a fair shot, all of your stats should be very good to excellent as opposed to your peers. If you're coming from a good Hong Kong private, the competition is stiff, there are tons of Asian applicants in general. I can speak for Andover where average SAT is 95%, most have close to near straight As coming in and everyone seems to have great strength in some area.

Now there's predicting chances for Elite Boarding Schools?
