My Chances At: NYU, William and Mary, Tufts, Georgetown

This is my first post, here goes. I am currently a junior at a public school in central NJ. I rank somwhere in the top 10%, but we aren't assigned number ranks as most schools in the area aren't. I can easily get great rec's from people who know me well and can provide an excellent insight into who I am. Please help me determine my chances for the following: NYU, William and Mary, Tufts, and Georgetown.

GPA: 3.79, 4.3 Weighted
SAT Reasoning: 800V 720W 620M
SAT II's: 700 US History, 690 World History, 710 Literature
AP Tests: I'll be taking Government, Language+Comp, History

Extra Curriculars:

President, Model UN
Editor-In-Chief, Newspaper
President, NHS
Secretary, Student Government Organization
3 Years Lacrosse
Marching Band Section Leader

Programs:

Governor's School Scholar
Boys State

You're a shoe-in for all of them.

william and mary is rough rough stuff OOS, good luck. it'd be nice to see some real passion in one or two of your EC's.

The past two summers I did a program at the College of William and Mary and it was amazing. Half of my college app essays were about this program. I highly advise going to it, despite the cost (I went on scholarship both times).

IT is a residential class for three weeks that is probably the most edifying and most fun three weeks of my high school career. Living on campus gives you a real feel for the campus and by the end, everyone knows if they want to go or not. Plus, you get 4 hours of college credit, and who doesn’t want that?

http://www.wm.edu/niahd/precollegiate.php

I highly advise it for ANYONE who is considering going to William and Mary.

While it is a lot of work, the work is fun (even to a math person like me) and the friendship connections you make are lasting. I still talk to lots of my WM friends!

Oh, and the guys who run this program (Dr. and Dr Whittenburg - married couple) are amazing. They get to "know" each of us before we arrive, so you will be greeted with a friendly hello. The other awesome thing about them is the fact that Dr. Mr. Whittenburg is the head of the history department over in WM, so his rec. would be quite good to have when applying to WM.

Hmm, i'm not sure if "shoe in" is the right word.
