Hi, im currently a rising senior.
Right now i have a 3.6 GPA and i can raise it to a maximum of 3.67 by the end of my senior year (still isnt where i want it to be). I took the SATs twice so far and got 2120 and 2010.
(M=800,W=730,R=590) and (M=710,W=700,R=600). I want to take it one last time in October mainly to raise my Reading score. Hopefully i would get high 600's. :(
Anyways... I live in GA and wish to stay in state so my choices are UGA/Emory/Oxford Emory/Tech. However I'm not confident about my acceptance in any of those but i definitely don't want to end up in GA State or anything like that (no offense). To you, what do you think my chances are at the 4 schools?
Thanks!!

I live in GA aswell. Your definately in UGA and if you’ve taken AP Calculus then your probably in Tech aswell.

More than likely Oxford since they have similar admissions scheme to UGA (except that they recently accepted a much lower percentage than normal, so I think admit rate is less than UGA). Here (Emory), sketch chance (it is for anyone in the middle-50), but apply and see what happens. You may get into Tech b/c of the math score, but in general, their admits are strikingly similar to ours (except that our writing is far higher) so I wouldn’t say Tech is anywhere near a shoe in.

so my best chance would be either uga or oxford emory?

Oh I forgot mention my EC…it’s not much though
9-12 Red Cross
11-12 Beta Club (pretty prestigious at my school. probably second best)
Tutor at mandatory tutoring 11-12 (helping failing kids)
Freshmen mentor 11-12 (basically guiding them to a successful high school career)
Feed the Homeless at downtown about 100 hours total
and im also trying to get into this hospice volunteering (helping ill patients) but it’s not for certain. They called me for training but that’s about it so far

I think you have a good shot at Tech and UGA, especially if you get your Reading Score up. I heard Oxford is less competitive, so you probably have a decent chance there too. Lastly, I don’t think your GPA makes you competitive for Emory proper, but I could be wrong.

bump i’ll chance back if possible!!
