Uga?

Hello! I'm a high school junior right now; I'm Asian; I'm female.

GPA:
unweighted-3.9
weighted-4.0

SAT: 2080
Math-680
CR-630
Writing-770

I have yet to take the ACT but based on my practice tests, it will probably range 32-33.

I've taken 5 APs so far, and by the end of my senior year, I'll have a total of 9. The rest of my courses with the exception of 4 (Latin 1, Health, P.E., and Physics) classes and orchestra have been/will have been APs/Honors classes.

I'm also an officer of 5 clubs and participate in 2 other clubs.

Do you think my chances of getting into UGA are high, and if so, do you think I could get into the Honors Program?

UGa: Low match

You can probably also consider more selective schools.

Yeah, I’m thinking about applying to Emory and some UC schools as well, but I’m more concerned about getting into the Honors Program at UGA since my SATs are on the low side.

UGA regular: Low match
UGA honors: Aim for 32+
Emory: High match

Thanks!
Also, do you know if UGA accepts super-scores? I’ve heard that they do from some people and that they don’t from others. If they do, my super-score is a 2100 (CR-650; everything else is the same).

Uga match and I think ur gpa could be higher if u want to enroll in honors program

@nutter398, I actually calculated my weighted GPA wrong. I didn’t understand the whole above 4.0 scale, but my GPA is a 4.3 now that I’ve checked with my counselor.

@ohcrapjesus: I think you may have gotten confused on what “low match” and “high match” mean. Low match means that the school is almost like a safety school and high match is what you should work hard and strive for. But thanks for your reply!

So my ACT score was a 30. It’s still pretty low, but do you think if i have a good rec letter and a lot of EC’s, i can still get in?

nice sat I think you would definitely get in
not sure about honors tho

You should look at colleges which are top ten in the major which you would like to do and apply to those.
