<p>I havent decided yet if i want to be a doctor or a nurse, but upenn nursing and cornell are 2 of my dream schools. i have a 3.9 gpa, and am in the top 30% of my class (so i will be graduating with honors). i got a 31 on my act. I have not yet taken sat IIs but i am registered to take spanish, math 1, and literature in june. I am currently in 2 ap classes (spanish lang and statistics) and will be taking spanish lit, environmental science, and psychology next year. aps work different in my school. you dont just sign up;you have to take a qualifying test and only a select amount of kids have the opportunity to take them. I am a caucasian female who attends one of the top public schools in my state. </p>

volunteer, local hospital (c.200 hours)
volunteer, pulmonary unit of hospital ( I was selected to do this out of a group of applicants)
president, red cross club
president, future physicians and nurses club
president, italian club
tutor of middle school kids (1 year)
jv fencing, softball, field hockey (all only for 1 year)
work at local dermatologist
participated in shadow program at local hospital
participated in a forensic science summer program at georgetown
this summer will participate in a hospital program at hopkins
many hours of community service from working with red cross (c.50)
on the board at my local red cross chapter house
art in my spare time
bingo caller at local nursing home</p>
<p>these are just a few things that i do in my spare time. also keep in mind that i would be applying to one of these schools early decision. i will not be applying for financial aid if that has anything to do with being admitted. </p>
