My chances: CNU, JMU, Longwood, Radford, Virginia Tech, GMU

I'm applying with this in mind
Safety Schools: Longwood University and Radford University
Good Chance Schools: Christopher Newport University and George Mason University
Reach Schools: James Madison University and Virginia Tech University

I don't know if I'm going to apply to any more than that right now, we'll see.

GPA: 3.7/ 3.8 (It could go either way depending on how kind my Chem teacher decides to be)
Class Rank: Top 15%
SAT Scores:
Critical Reading- 650
Writing-700
Math- 590
Just Critical Reading and Math: 1240

-Honors Spanish 3

-AP English
-Honors Chemistry
-Service Learning
12th Grade (Next year)
-Creative Writing 2
-Honors Spanish 4
-AP Stat

-Service Learning 2

Extra Curriculars:
-Beta Club*
-Key Club (I'm an officer)*
-K.O.M. (Mentoring Freshmen)*
-Theatre (Plays and Musicals)*
-Science Club
-SGA (Student Government)*
-Spirit Squad

(*'s mean clubs I had to audition/ apply/ or be asked to join based on academic success)

I haven't done my AP tests yet, but I have a consistant B+/ A in US History so I'm hoping for a 4. And English is my thing and I did super well on the practice test (I got a 9 on the Argument Essay and an 8 on the Rhetoric Essay). So I feel pretty confident about pulling a 4 or a 5 on that one.

My intended major is Writing.

I know my GPA is not the best, but while visiting JMU (and I don't know if this goes or other schools too) the admissions lady said to apply Early Action and if you are deferred they will look at your first semester of senior year grades/ GPA too. And if I get all A's this quarter and next semester I'll have a 4.2. I'm just kind of hoping these decisions are based on more than just GPA.

Also it is obvious by looking at my transcripts that my GPA is lower because I do not do well in math at all. And it has taken several hard blows over the years due to my math classes and now Chemistry is taking it's turn ruining my GPA because of math incorporated into that devilish class.

I have recommendation letters, I'm getting a job this summer, I wrote a killer essay, and I am interviewing at every college that does interviews.

So what are my odds?

bumppppppp
