I was waitlisted for George Mason because my junior year grades were mostly Cs. My GC called them and they said they didn't even look at my cumulative GPA (3.6) or read the Secondary School Report. A 3.6 is definitely high enough for GMU. My freshman and sophomore years were mostly As, and my first semester grades for this year are good. But since I got waitlisted for GMU, I don't think there's any chance for me to get into JMU, so I've lost all hope for that one. I'm really worried I won't get into CNU or Radford because I got waitlisted at GMU. What do you think? Any help/advice is appreciated. Thank you so much!

You will definetely get into Radford and probably CNU. JMU is weird. Their admissions process is tricky! I’ve seen them admit kids with a 3.4 and kids with a 4.0 and you just never know because they are trying to get a wide range of students. You have a good shot though. I’m applying to all the same colleges as you!

Oh and I got mostly C’s junior year too. And I have all A’s this semester in my senior year and JMU asked for my senior year stuff instead of my junior year because they WANT to admit you. They don’t want to deny you. So they look for that improvement. I’ve actually been told they prefer kids who show improvement cause it shows that they got over that bad grade hump already instead of suffering it Freshmen year :)
