Thanks for helping and seeing what my chances are!

In the past few years, Villanova’s acceptance rate has dropped dramatically, and the business school is the toughest school to get into. To have any chance, you would have to apply ED (not EA), and even then, it would be a big reach. If you could raise your SAT/ACT score significantly, your chances would improve.

What should be the minimum I should try to raise my score to?

Your ACT is much higher than your SAT. Only report your ACT and retake if you can. Middle 50 percentiles:

Villanova class of 2023 admitted students, 32-34, class of 2022 enrolled students, 30-33

BC class of 2023 admitted students, average 33, class of 2022 enrolled students, 31-34, average 32.

With your high school having a number of applicants to these colleges, check the Naviance scattergrams.

Your GC can tell you very accurately what your chances are. That these schools now have an ED option might be a game changer, BC going into its first admissions season with it.

definitely try to retake for a 32+. (BC superstores, if that will help.)

CSOM-Finance is competitive and generally requires strong math grades. It’s good that you are taking Calc.

With your current numbers, your chances at BC are low. If you can raise the ACT and apply Early Decision, you can maximize your chances. (As this the first year for ED at BC, no one knows what will happen.

Good luck.

BC no longer has EA. They offer ED so you need to be prepared to pay. I don’t think your stats are within their criteria. Villanova’s stats have also become much more highly selective especially for the business school. I don’t think you are a match for that either. Think of Providence College (which offers merit) and other comparables. Best of luck.
