I really want to go to NYU in the fall of 2018, and i’ve done a lot of research to try and figure out my chances but i’ve read a lot of different things. I was wondering if you guys could tell me what you think my chances are or share any experiences you or someone you know have gone through. I am a white girl from the Long Island area, I got a 30 on the ACT and a 1340 on the SAT, my GPA is around a weighted 4.0 which is kind of low because my sophomore year brought me down but my junior year grades are very strong. I’ve taken a few AP’s and the only class where I’m really not challenging myself is math but I get A’s in it. My extracurriculers are good, I’m a member of a lot of clubs and was on a sport for 3 years of high school but I only hold a leadership position in one. I didn’t write my common app essay yet but it’s going to be about my passion for reading growing up. I plan to apply to the College of Arts and Sciences for Economics (maybe Computer Science). I don’t know if you can tell using all this information but just maybe are my scores good enough? I don’t really have time to change anything so I would just like to know your thoughts.
