I am a biology major at a community college. I would love to go to Ucsd, but I do not want to stay another year at my community college to complete everything on assist. I am hoping people can maybe give me their input. I am just curious to what my chances of getting into ucsd are if I apply withought taking taking ochem and the physics they want which is general 1,2,and 3 instead I am taking two different physics courses for a different school. By the time I apply my gpa should be around 3.7. Extracurricular I have will be being envolved in a chemistry club, engineering club, honors society, possibly student goverment, and possibly being a tutor.
I would post here: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-california-san-diego/
My 2 cents worth is that since Biology is a capped major at UCSD, to be competitive you would need to finish all required courses on the assist.org and if that includes OChem and Physics, than I would try to make an effort to get these courses completed.
