MY Chances of getting into Umass Amherst Early Action?

I plan to apply early action here is my information....
Hi I am a senior and I go to high school in Massachusetts. Being 50% Costa Rican I qualify as Hispanic. My current G.P.A. is a 3.32 and my SAT score is 1890 out of 2400 and 1290 out of 1600. I have done plenty of volunteer work from a basketball coach to a volunteer at the Special Olympics. I have done 4 years of lacrosse at my school and am a varsity athlete, I have also done 4 years of basketball. I am just a little worried because I really like this school and it would save my parents a lot of money. So I was just wondering about my chances of getting in at Umass Amherst.
If you can help that would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Please Help I’m Freaking out about applications

A high match.

Your grades are good, and your ECs are great. The problem is UMAss doesn’t care too much about ECs- they care about GPA, and yours is okay. They also care about your application essay and recommendations- how are those?

I would say apply early and I would be shocked if you didn’t get in it is a match or even a low match because of your SAT score. UMass isn’t extremely hard to get into as long as your instate and being a rim will probably help even a little.

Thanks my essay I believe is good, but I’m having my cousin who is a high school english teacher take a look at it, I have a guidance counselor recommendation and my spanish teacher is also writing a recommendation.

Also could you guys clarify what you mean when you say “High Match” and “Low Match”.
