Essays: ok. I'm more science than writing.
AP bio teacher recommended me for Danforth Scholarship

Also if you have any thoughts or recommendations on how to right a good essay, please let me know! I'm DROWNING here, massive writer's block!

Seems slim.

Is that GPA weighted or unweighted? What is your rank? What’s the break down on the SAT? I would consider retaking it.

You are not wasting your time or application fee.

But WashU. is tough admit for female pre-meds.

Get some good safeties!

unweighted, I’m retaking my SAT. My school doesn’t do rankings.

Did she say she was pre-med? I did not see that. I’m wondering what the weighted GPA is. Also, if you can up your SAT to 2100+, I think you have a shot. Being from the NW proabaly helps, as most students tend to come from East Coast and Midwest or California. Also, being nominated for the Danforth will help, I believe. I would contact the tennis coach, visit the school if you can, and apply for other scholarships. All this will demonstrate your interest in Wash U. Make sure your application shows why Wash U is the perfect place for you and what you could contribute. Don’t let the other posters here get you down.

Your SAT is a bit on the low range. Also, your 3 on AP Chem, in addition to your statement of being a science person with an A in that class, seems slightly controversial for me. This may lower the perception of the level of rigor and difficulty at your school. However, this isn’t something you can really change now so don’t worry too much about it. I say your chances are somewhat low, but still consider applying.

Are you applying ED?
