My chances. Thanks

Hey, I'm new here just wondering what my chances are for some schools with the following information:

I'm a Junior.
Class rank 18/519
GPA Weighted 4.96
GPA Unweighted 4.27
SAT First time taken: Verbal 650, Math 650 (need to improve terribly)
Courseload: Heavy (4 AP's senior year, 2 this year)
AP's taken: Calculus AB, Euro AP (next year: Spanish, Language, Biology, Gov)
Varsity Sports: X-Country, Swimming (Captain), Tennis (played JV)
Clubs: Academic Team, Key Club, Film Club, Mock Trial Team, Debate Team, Ultimate Frisbee, Environmental Club
Recommendations: Potentially 4-5 strong ones
Community Service: Low (20 hours)

Thats about all I can think of. My top schools are:
University of Pennsylvania (stretch)
Columbia
New York University
Cornell
Brown

THANKS

University of Pennsylvania (stretch) - Reach
Columbia - Reach
New York University - Reach
Cornell - Reach
Brown - Reach

Reach, Reach, Reach....REACH

Yeah, I'd say you probably need to find some better Match and/or safety schools because all of those are reaches with your current stats.

is it the sats?

how do you get a 4.27 gpa UW? isn't a 4.0 the maximum gpa w/o honors/aps?
I'd say Reach for all of them, match for NYU if u increase SAT

Er, NYU seems a match... Your SAT scores are right in the middle:

http://apps.collegeboard.com/search/CollegeDetail.jsp?collegeId=3186&profileId=6

What kind of increase in the SAT's would be beneficial in helping my cause to get accepted to most of these schools?

Taking them in June so I don't have to be bogged down with SAT and AP's in the same month

just wondering, how do you get above a 4.0 UW?

anyways...

University of Pennsylvania (stretch) = High Reach
Columbia = High Reach
New York University = Low Reach
Cornell = Reach
Brown = Reach

NYU is a match if you don't need $$. Rank is low unless you go to an exceptional hs (average SAT above 1350 old), SATs need a substantial rise (200 points plus) and your ECs are weak for ivies.

A 200 point rise in the SAT... Uh a 1500 is a stretch coming from a 1300
