I have made from scratch the 1 and only business club in my school to be ever made ( it is a investment club)and about 3 kids go to wharton from our school but no one has ever made a business club which is intersting its hard though.

I have taking all the hardest classes in my school.
The only bad thing on my transcript is my D+ in IB Spanish year 5 ( we have 2 native speakers lol and they got b's and c's so.. its hard)

Michigan is my first choice and i am applying by november 1 which is early action
i am Indian and am involved in my culture(dances etc)

Thanks a lot for reading and responding !!! i really appreciate it!!

You should apply preferred admit anyways, as you have nothing to lose (except time writing another essay) and you may get in.

I’m also not sure about
“I have a 3.7 weighted GPA/ 3.2 unweighted gpa ( taking 20+ A.P/IB hurts unweighted)”

How does your school weight grades? Are AP/IB equally weighted?
Taking into account the rigor of your curriculum, your weighted GPA seems a bit on the low side, and your unweighted seems weak. What types of grades are you getting? (Mostly Bs with a few As?, Mostly As with Cs?)

Hey yea our weighted makes it a 5 and they said the don’t recalculate it so my school will give the 3.7 outta 4 AP/IB are weighted same. I some A’s and B’s 1 D+ in Spanish but some native speakers in the classhave C’s so its hard place respond thanks

Well, I would imagine that LSA would admit you.

And… I also think you should apply preferred admit. Your extracurriculars give you a chance for that.

Thank u for response again

Your chances will largely be tied to how your high school is perceived by U-M. In most cases, a 3.2 UW GPA would have a very low chance of being accepted. Your high school guidance counselor would be a better source of this information than posters on cc.

ok that is valid thanks again yea mich loves us and we have people that go there every year. at my school a 97%+ is a A so its hard stuff and we are in the top 2% of high schools in the nation

Not gonna lie, it will be a reach. If anything, living next to Ohio State will hurt you, because they will try to protect their yield rate. Give the act a shot before you apply!
