I am applying ED from a competitive public high school outside of Cincinatti with a 2400 and a 4.02 unweighted GPA. I have taken a total of 6 APs in high school. My Mom graduated from Dartmouth. I have decent extracurriculars--I've been involved with a lot of music stuff though nothing spectacular, have your typical student government and community service hours under my belt. My teachers have said they went out of their way to write good recs for me and my essay has received a lot of praise.

Without a hook, do I still have a good shot? I'm pinning my hopes on being one of very few people applying who are 4.0/2400/legacies...

thank you for your input!

anyone? please help!! thanks!!

yea 4.0 and 2400...im sure you have an excellent chance. legacy, too....you should be confident

I'm still not sure how I ended up here either - no ridiculous national extracurriculars, and I didn't have the equivalent of a 2400 either. Or a legacy. I think a lot comes down to the essays, so... I'll cross my fingers for you and hope to see you around next fall!

which i were you man

are you really worried?? with a 2400 and 4.0 and people going out of their way for reccomendations it seems like you can go anywhere you want

You have an excellent shot. No point in really asking your chances here though, especially considering you dont give us your EC's!
