A little about me: I go to a very small school in a very small town so fitting another AP class into my schedule this year was hard since they only have around 1 class for each of the 10 APs our school offers. I also improved my academic standing over the years. In Junior High, I was a trouble maker and received help to not fail classes. Throughout high school I have strengthened by course load and improved my grades each year. Being team captain this year is a big thing for me since last year our team was ranked 17th in the nation (a big feat since our school was the smallest school in the top 200 and we're a public school so we don't recruit) and because this is only my second year running. I would want to run for Columbia, but realize I should focus on getting in first. Leaving my small community and going to study in a city like NYC would be a dream come true for me, but I won't be emotionally crushed if anyone says I'm shooting too high.

lol no way with a 29 ACT you need like 35-36

Try to get your ACT higher than 32. Being Hispanic will help a lot on your part however.

Mmm you’re not exactly a strong candidate but you have a shot. Make your essays the best they can be and bring those test scores up. Excellent GPA though.
