I’m really interested in going to James Madison U- I have about a 3.0 GPA in high school. I’ve have taken 1 dual enrollment class for US History in high school. This is all pretty basic, I know. But what makes me stand out from my peers is the fact that I will have 53 college credits directly from NOVA at the end of Summer 2018. Plus, I plan to take 2 classes non-degree from George Mason (Business Analytics 2 and a Communication course) in the Fall and another 2 classes in the Spring (Calculus and Biology with lab), which will bring my college credits to 65 credits. You can only transfer in 60 college credits from a community college, so 6 of these credits will be from George Mason as non-degree. I will have about a 3.2 or 3.3 GPA in transferring - but admissions will not look at me as a transfer because I would have had to graduate from high school first and then earned 24 college credits. To date, I’ve taken Account 1,2, Micro, Macro, Eng 1 and 2, plus Eng. 230, Psy 1 and 2, Public speaking, Statistics, American history 1, 2 – and in the Spring if 2019 Calculus. Please keep in mind that I have handled both high school and college at the SAME time – taken full course loads in both schools. Plus, I am in FBLA, Construction I and possibly welding during my senior year. I also participate in beauty pageants. As far as volunteering, I’m actively involved in advocating against sexual abuse. I have excellent recommendations and have traveled extensively (almost 40 countries). As far as work goes, I’ve had one job as a server. Pls let me know. Thanks.
Also forgot, Outward Bound expeditions and #1 in cheerleading award for leadership.
