What do you think my % chances might be ED? What about regular decision?

Any input is great appreciated?

With those scores you should have no problem. Just try getting your gpa up alittle.

Is it possible to be a National Merit Finalist while still a junior? I thought they didn't announce that until February of senior year.

Finalist would be the wrong term then. I meant I anticipate either semi or finalist. My score was 217. I dont think my gpa will go up though. What about EDI or EDII or applying regular?

I'd say your chances are pretty good whether you do EDI, EDII, or RD. You've got SAT scores that are well over the 50% mark (the average SAT score for the Vassar College Class of 2010 was 2085 according to the college's website) and a nice mix of ECs. I agree that your unweighted GPA may be a bit lower than ideal, but its definitely nothing to sweat about. You look to be a strong candidate judging from your stats (and the fact that your male doesn't hurt either seeing as the female-male ratio is something around 60:40).

thanks. going up for a visit first week in April. Looking at wesleyan, middlebury and just for comparisions Amherst and Brown. I was trying to tour Bowdoin but too much to fit in. Save it for another trip north.
