My Chances?

Hi,

I'm new here... I will be a senior this year. I have already taken SAT once and will take it again in Oct 2007. I live in NJ and on my 1st SAT I got a 1800.
My accumulated GPA so far is around 3.5. I know I have another chance to improve my SAT score, but do you think I can get into Rutgers with an 1800 and 3.5 GPA?

One more thing - my school has sent me a transcript at the end of this school year (2006-2007). It has weighted and unweighted GPA. But the unweighted is what counts right? colleges look at the unweighted GPA right?

Critical reading+ Math score - 1180
Critical reading+Math+Writing - 1800
Unweighted GPA - 3.542
Weighted GPA - 3.979

Thanks in advance!

You're in. Either GPA is adequate.

you should be fine

just to be safe.. get your sat up if you really want

Keep it up and you should be fine.

Yeah, I'll try to increase the SAT score, but I just wanted to be prepared for the worst. Hence I asked if I would get in with the scores and GPA that I have currently...

Also, in case I do worse on the 2nd SAT, would they take objection or would it effect by admission status?

Thanks a lot for the responses. I really appreciate it!

I believe they take the highest

oh ok.. thanks!

I forgot to mention to you'll that I'm going to try for either Pre-Med or Biotechnology or some biological science subject.

So you'll I can make it for any of the above?

I mean to ask does one need a particular SAT score to qualify for admission in the majors stated above?

I'm asking this because I'm not aware of how they evaluate an application

Thanks

Also, I have taken SAT II Bio - 670

I have taken AP Euro - 5, AP Lang 3, AP Bio - 4. Currently taking AP Stats. Again I'm going to major is some Bio field as stated above.

Is one subject test enough?

anyone??...

hey dont worry about your sat, rutgers really only cares about your gpa and class rank and 3.5 is good enough.

Sciences grade on a tough curve, very competitive. Good luck.
