My chances?

<p>Hi everyone, I was wondering what my chances are and what I need to improve on. </p>

<p>Academics
GPA- 3.61
Class Rank 9 out of 104
SAT Math-750 Verbal- 670 Writing 580
ACT- Math- 31 English- 31 Reading- 36 SR- 26 Composite-31
Classes- 2 AP 13 Honors and Gifted</p>

<p>EC's
JROTC-4 years including Group Commander, Flight Commander, PT team commander, Kitty Hawk Air Society admin officer
Student Council- 9th grade class vice-president
National Honor Society
Mu Alpha Theta (10th, 11th, 12th grade, historian for 12th)
Cross Country- Varisity all four years and Captain for 11th and 12th
Track (varsity) and Tennis (JV) in 11th and I plan to do it again this year
Boy's State
USMA SLS
about 100 hours of community service over the past 3 years</p>

Plan to take it around the end of this month but currently I have about these scores

sit-ups 95
1-mile 5:30
shuttle run 9.8
pull-ups 8

<p>Your stats look great and being accepted tp SLS is always a good sign. To be really picky, the only thing that may raise an eyebrow is your SAT writing score.

<p>Louisiana, I think only four people qualified that applied for my district nomination last year.</p>

<p>don't worry about the writing score, its not taken into account.</p>

<p>Writing scores are not calculated into the whole candidate score as of yet, but from this year they are required and are being tracked. The reason I said it may raise an eyebrow is because it is out of line with the other scores.</p>

<p>Nope, it's your congressman, two senators, vice-president, and if you qualify then theres the service-connected presidential ones. My congressional district isn't that competitive it seems.</p>

<p>You only need a nomination from ONE of the above mentioned, not all of them. Any one will do.</p>
