I am currently a high school student wondering what schools I could get into when I apply...
I go to an extremely competitive private school in NYC that has many good connections with top schools...

GPA: 3.6 (out of 4.0) it is harder to get good grades in my school than most other schools...
SAT I: 2290 (790 math 750 reading 750 writing)
SAT II: 760 chem, 800 math IIC, 780 US History, 760 Bio

APs: (our school recently got rid of APs, but I took advanced/honors classes and took the AP exams)-AP Lit, AP Bio, AP Physics C, AP US History, BC Calc, AP Statistics, AP Economics

Extracurriculars: captain varsity fencing team, played for band/orchestra for all 4 years of high school (and took music theory), president of one of the only high school student--run microfinance groups
Oh, and maybe I should note that I am Asian-American.

Some schools I would like to go to are UPenn (our school sends a LOT of students there, 15 out of 100 seniors are going to upenn next year...our school is small), Columbia, WashU, Northwestern, Chicago, Stanford, Cornell, Brown, etc...

You would probably get into UPenn, Washington, Northwestern, and Chicago.
Columbia, Cornell, and Brown would be “eh.”
Stanford would be not probable.

I think you could get into Columbia, Cornell, Brown. It’s just that since they’re so competitive they can be very unpredictable. Your ECs are good, your grades are on par, I think that it’s really just down to how your essay ends up.

You’ll probably be accepted into UPenn, Chicago, Northwester, and Chicago though, no problem.

perhaps i’m being a bit pessimistic but, i have to say that as an asian american your chances at UPenn, Columbia, Chicago, Stanford, and Brown (& any other “better/more competitive” colleges) are not great. I think that at a certain point colleges will be looking for you to, you know, stand out with something. And your GPA, despite the fact that you go to a competitive school, and SAT scores do not stand out.
Nor do your extra curriculars (except for the micro finance thing-which sounds great), especially since they do not, well “fit”. Based on your activities i would not be able to tell what kind of person you are-they are all over the place.
However, for Wash U and Northwestern i think you’d get in. Cornell you would have a decent chance at.

Since your school has unique relationships with top schools, your best bet is to talk to your GC to see where kids with similar credentials end up.
