My Chances?

Hi, I am trying to figure out what is the average GPA acceptance for Electrical Engineering last year and I know it is a lot higher now since it is impacted. I screwed up my first year in UCSC rather badly and received a “subject to dismissal” and moved to Fullerton community college. I have somewhat greatly improved my GPA and have been taking classes towards my GE. I have been taking the math and physics requirements
(I was rather careless in my UCSC year and probably wrecked my record because I did retakes and failed the retakes of physics and math. I have, however, taken an equivalent in the Fullerton College.
Multivariable Calculus : Hoping for an A, currently having a B in the class.
Calculus-based Physics 1st of 3 course series : having a solid A in the class.)

UCSC GPA: 2.25
Fullerton College GPA: 3.58
Overall GPA: 2.96 at 60.33 semester units.

My Golden 4 are currently:
A1: In progress (Most likely gonna end with an A)
A2: B
A3: A
Math: A

I am currently filing for Fall admissions in 2011, and just want advices and tips. Even the counselor said I messed up in my time with UCSC and that might kill me.

Thanks

I would say 50/50.

Your GPA is a little below average (3.03 was fall 2009 average for engineering transfers), but you have come a long way and you GPA is stellar at Fullerton College. Hopefully getting good grades this semester will bump it up a little bit more. The most important thing is not to get discouraged and to apply.
